Scott L Spencer

As President and Director of Flight Operations for Lighter Than Air America, Scott just celebrated his 30th year in ballooning.

Scott's award winning approach to product and service promotion is regarded throughout the U.S. as an expert in the field of aviation promotion.

With a unique eye to the potentials that balloons can provide corporations, Scott looks forward to the challenges of leading the LTAA family.

Scott is proud of an accident free safety record in his aviation career, having flown over 5,000 hours in balloons since 1970.

 
Laurie Spencer

LTAA's Vice President and undisputed better half of the company, specializes in the physical logistics of LTAA's event productions.

In between flights and a very busy travel schedule, Laurie manages the LTA Clothing operation that produces everything from the companies crew and pilot uniforms, to consumer available clothing lines for LTAA.  The Privateer Line, Pacific Capitol Mortgage, as well as Coca Cola and Kellogg's Crew Clothing and clothing for the special events the company produces keep her busy.

With nearly 700 hours of flight in hot air balloons Laurie is a highly skilled, technical pilot, and has developed a reputation as one of this country's best female corporate balloon pilots.  Laurie is an instructor pilot, always in high demand by students of balloon flight.

Ken Koch

Every company needs an experienced "rock" to guide its growth. Ken Koch is just such a person.  Long time best friend of Scott's, Ken brings an incredible wealth of experience and stability to the company.

With many years in media and personnel management Ken brings the perfect balance to Scott's never ending flow of wild ideas. (and, he looks much better and is more comfortable in a suit than Scott)

Snatched from a well deserved retirement, LTAA is lucky to have Ken Koch as its business manager.
