Based in Boise, Idaho, the Wildhorse Hot Air Balloon Team has conducted the flight operations of the “Wind Warrior” hot air balloon, for the Wildhorse Resort & Casino of Pendleton, Oregon since 1999.

The “Wind Warrior” balloon is piloted by veteran pilot Laurie Spencer.

The Wildhorse balloon promotion operates in the Pacific Northwest and has become a regular feature at balloon events in Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

The Wildhorse Resort & Casino is a tremendous supporter of ballooning activities in the Northwest U.S., fully sponsoring several ballooning events each year at the Resort and in near by Boise, Idaho at the award winning Boise River Festival each June.

The Wildhorse Resort & Casino uses their hot air balloon as an Aerial Ambassador for the Resort appearing at community festivals and visiting schools, teaching students the history of aviation with a hands on experience.

Wildhorse Resort & Casino has become widely identified within ballooning circles but balloonist’s enjoy more than just incredible flying when they visit the Resort during rally weekends ... The Wildhorse “Balloon Bash” Spud Shoot has become a favorite activity of participants. Many balloon teams have created their own ‘Spud Shoot’ Teams as well.

Ballooning isn’t the only activity to found at the Resort. Each July the Resort hosts the Wildhorse Pow-Wow, a rich Native American cultural experience not to be missed.
